Assistance Scheme To Build Barbed Wire Fences Around The Farm The scheme of providing financial assistance to the farmers for erection of iron barbed wire fence around the farm to prevent damage to the crops of the prolific wild animals was continued with the resolutions / amendments of this section numbered (1) to (2)
Under this scheme the farmer / farmers will have to apply by forming a cluster of their lands in groups. An area of at least five (five) hectares (cluster) will be allowed for all categories of farmers, (3) Guple leaders will have to be determined by the farmers for each cluster. (3) According to the cluster of land, the group of beneficiaries will have to approve the assistance of Rs.500 per running meter or 50% of the actual cost, whichever is less.

▪️Before approving the application, the wire fencing at the site should be checked by third party inspection and also after the completion of the work, it should be checked by third party inspection and final payment should be made only after third party inspection report. GPS location tagging should be done at the time of verification.
▪️Under the scheme the state government will give 50 percent financial assistance or 200 rs Per meter. Rest 50 percent will be borne by the farmer. A fund of Rs 750 crores will be earmarked for the purpose in next three years
now the forest and agriculture departments have agreed to allow a new kind of fencing under the new scheme. This new kind of fencing which will have barbed wire on the upper side and plain wire net on the lower side, will not let even very small crop destroying animals in the fields,’ Mr Patel said
